Handling of toxic products is everyday routine in clean room technology. However, it must not be underestimated as leakage of toxic substances may have severe consequences for the environment. The Automatic Toxic Air Filter Module (FZ-ATAF) is an innovation by Franz Ziel to enable you to prevent such occurrences. With its engineering features, this user-friendly filter module helps to reduce risks for the operators and the environment.

Benefits in Using the FZ-ATAF
When working with hazardous substances, a filter change poses risks. So far, safe-change filters and so-called ‘BIBO’ methods (bag-in, bag-out) were applied in isolators to eliminate the risk of environmental contamination during a filter change. They are not state of the art any more. The newly developed FZ-ATAF module protects the return air ducts against contamination and enables you to replace the filter with relatively little risk. The filter test is realized as usual with the filter installed. For that, the FZ-ATAF module can be closed automatically without effort, simply by pressing a button.

Flexible Approach
The FZ-ATAF module can be adapted to the size of the return air duct i.e. the size of the individual isolator. It can be used once to be disposed or several times to be used repeatedly. When combined with a washing station, only the filter must be replaced while the module is applied consistently to minimize resources and to save costs.

Features of the FZ-ATAF
Besides the advantages mentioned, the FZ-ATAF module offers the following features:

• It supersedes safe change filters / BIBO filters (bag-in, bag-out)
• It incorporates at least H13 HEPA filters (alternatively H14 or U15) for isolators processing toxic products
• It is optimized in design for WIP (Wash-in-place) method -> suitable for OEB6
